Code of Conduct

PORTARLINGTON BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION INC.

Clause 19 of the Model Rules for the Association provides that

• The Association may take disciplinary action against a member in accordance with this Division if it is determined that the member:
  • Has failed to comply with these Rules; or
  • Refuses to support the purposes of the Association; or
  • Has engaged in conduct prejudicial to the Association.

Clause 42 of the Model Rules for the Association provides that

• (2) The Committee may exercise all the powers of the Association except those powers that these Rules or the Act require to be exercised by general meetings of the members of the Association.

In exercising the powers vesting in the Committee pursuant to clause 42(2) of the Model rules for the Association, The Committee has developed the following Code of Conduct:

CODE OF CONDUCT

Each member is to:

• Abide by the Model rules of the Association;
• Observe the highest standards of ethics in providing services and products for sale;
• Conduct business and professional activities in a reputable manner to reflect honourably upon the business and wider community and fellow PDBA members;
• Act courteously and respectfully at all times towards other PDBA members and/or associates;
• Act In accordance with the ethical standards and behaviours of their profession / trade;
• Not act in any manner that will bring the Association into disrepute;
