The PBDA was delighted to present the 2021 Business Award to Peter (Jerka) Jenkins of Jenkins and Son Fresh Fish
Jerka is a fourth-generation fisherman having moved to Portarlington when he was seven years old. His family have been fisherman for over 100 years. Jerka and his partner, Donna, initially started their iconic retail seafood business from their home in Queenscliff Road, and after out growing this, moved to their fabulous retail seafood outlet in Geelong Road. These days their son, Ben, the fifth-generation fisherman, catches the fish and Jerka prepares and sells the produce. Jerka and Donna have been very active in Business and the Community and have always been very generous supporting the Portarlington Community over many years. Jerka is a worthy recipient of the PBDA’s 2021 Business Award.
