The PBDA was pleased to announce that the recipient of the 2021 Community Award is the Honourable Lisa Neville, MP, Member for Bellarine.
It was with great pleasure that the PBDA recognised the enormous contribution that Lisa has made to Portarlington in her role as the Member for Bellarine over the past almost 20 years.
Lisa has been instrumental in facilitating many major infrastructure projects for Portarlington including the Port Philip Ferry from Docklands to Portarlington and Geelong, The Portarlington Safe Harbour, the redevelopment of the Portarlington Primary School, the building of new CFA and ambulance stations, and the Drysdale By-Pass to mention a few. Lisa has always been available to her Portarlington constituents and the Community of Portarlington has benefited greatly from her tremendous support.
Unfortunately, due to her health, Lisa was unable to receive her award in person at our annual Christmas function. Lisa expressed her appreciation for the recognition after PBDA president John Raw contracted her and delivered the Community Award personally to her Office .
Congratulation on the Award, Lisa, and thank you again for all you have done for the Bellarine and especially for Portarlington.
